Why this directory exists
The Chinese metaphysics field has a consistent problem: finding a real practitioner is harder than it should be. Master Sean Chan in Singapore charges SGD 800 for a session and has a 3-month waitlist. Joey Yap's certified consultants are listed only inside his alumni portal. Master Kevin Foong's bookings go through Mastery Academy with limited availability. Most other practitioners are scattered across local Facebook groups, Instagram bios, and word-of-mouth chains — invisible to anyone who doesn't already know where to look.
This directory exists to map verified practitioners and let users find them by specialty, language, and budget. We don't compete with consultants — we funnel users to them when their question goes beyond what an AI tool can answer.
How verification works
A consultant gets a "Verified" badge when: 1. Proof of training from a recognized academy (Joey Yap Mastery Academy, IFSG, Feng Shui Institute International, Master Sean Chan academy, etc.) OR proof of 5+ years of paid practice with at least 3 client references. 2. Active website or professional Instagram/LinkedIn presence (not anonymous). 3. Clear pricing posted publicly (no "request a quote" pricing — transparency requirement). 4. Compliance with our content policy — no medical, financial, or legal advice claims; no guaranteed outcomes; clear "for entertainment + cultural exploration" framing.
Unverified listings are still allowed (free) but marked clearly so users can self-filter.

Is this directory free for users?
Yes, fully free. We make money from premium consultant listings ($99/mo) and from optional lead-gen fees (when a consultant opts in to pay 20% of bookings made through our platform).
How do you verify consultants?
Documentation of training (Joey Yap Mastery Academy certificate, IFSG membership, recognized lineage) OR proof of 5+ years of paid practice with 3+ client references. We do NOT verify the validity of metaphysical claims — that's between consultants and their clients. We verify that they are who they say they are and have the training they claim.
Can I get my money back if a consultant gives bad advice?
We don't process payments — bookings happen directly with the consultant. Refund policies are theirs. We do remove consultants from the directory if multiple credible complaints accumulate.
Where are most consultants?
Today: Spanish-speaking (Mexico, Spain), English-speaking (Singapore, Malaysia, USA, UK, Australia), Portuguese (Brazil). We're actively onboarding more. If your country is underrepresented, tell us and we'll prioritize outreach there.
Are you affiliated with Joey Yap or other masters?
No. We're an independent platform. Several consultants in our directory are Joey Yap Mastery Academy graduates, but the academy is not a partner of DestinyTara — we list them with their permission as practicing consultants.
